Obituary of Assunto Peppino Vona

Assunto Peppino Vona passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at the age of 83.

Born in Petilia Policastro, Crotone, Italy on August 15, 1940, Assunto immigrated to Canada with his family and worked as a Welder for 40 years.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Maria Vona, sons Tony Vona (Tammy) and Dominic Vona (Allison), daughter Dominique Vaillant Vona, grandchildren Mikhail, Alysha, Callie, Joey, and Anthony, and many more extended family members and friends.

Assunto was predeceased by his parents Domenico and Belga Vona.

Friends and relatives are invited to a Visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, March 18 from 12:30pm – 1:15pm. The Funeral Service will begin in the funeral home’s chapel at 1:30pm, followed by interment at Parkview Cemetery.
